SYNOPSIS:
The intention of the stencil workshop is to give the participants the basis for creating an artwork using the stencil technique. In addition, everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the creation of a medium-sized wall.
After a theoretical presentation on the technique, the participants will perform an exercise of creating a stencil based on the same process used by the trainer and urban artist SAMINA. The workshop aims to foster the creativity and decision-making of each one by applying the foundations previously acquired in a mural painting in the city of Lagos.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the technique, to work together and apply it in an urban context.
BIO:
SAMINA (1989, Setúbal)
He soon had contact with the world of the arts, especially with drawing and painting. At the age of 14 he starts to spread stickers through the street , in the Street Art scene.
For a few years he followed the growth of the movement and, as a self-taught artist, grew as an artist. It is during this time that he discovers the stencil, and in 2010 he feels capable of producing larger and more consistent jobs.
Since then, Samina has continued his constant quest for new stimulus experiences in every work he does, linking his language to the stencil techniques, and the graphic elements that come from his references to the world of street art, graphic design, painting and architecture.
