Workshop on Introduction to RAKU, guided by Ricardo Lopes - March 17th and 24th
The Raku is a Japanese cooking technique closely linked to the tea ceremony in which the pieces are removed from the oven when the glaze reaches the desired temperature and placed in a container of combustible material (sawdust, leaves, etc.). It has become very popular in the West due to the colors, textures and characteristic spontaneity.
In this workshop, in addition to the practice of cooking and learning the inherent physical, chemical and alchemical aspects, it is intended to equip participants with the basic skills to create their own forms through an intensive, demonstrative and personalized approach to traditional conformation techniques and decoration associated with Raku cooking.
