ARTURb 2024 > Guest Artists > Fedor (PT) Fedor is an artist from Porto, where he currently lives and where he does most of his creative work, which focuses mainly on mural painting and illustration. He began his career in the field in 2000 and shortly after founded the Maniaks collective with Neutro and Mots, also from the same city and long-time friends. It was during these years that he explored various languages until he defined his own style, which he has been perfecting to this day. After several years of working and contributing to the graffiti and illustration movement in the city of Porto, in 2014 he also became a member of Colectivo Rua, one of the most important artist collectives in the city. His work is very versatile, adapting various languages to meet each challenge, but it is his illustrative style and lettering that he is best known for. A fan of contrasting and vibrant palettes, he pays special attention to the line that defines his forms, which is almost always quite strong, albeit dynamic, and which defines a variety of themes, often featuring elements of fauna and flora, inserted into complex arrangements, which make evident the influence of the comic books he consumed daily as a child. He has done a lot of professional work for municipalities, companies or private clients, as well as some solo or collaborative exhibitions, but he also likes to leave his work on the streets of Porto, so that all citizens who appreciate this art can have free access to it.
