Eric Ventker (b. 1995) is a German painter who completed his studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2020, graduating as a Meisterschüler (Master). He began painting in 2008 through graffiti, but quickly became more interested in figurative work – portraits, human gestures and scenes that tell a story. This focus has shaped her artistic path to this day.
Over the years, his work has evolved from capturing an isolated moment to exploring movement as a slow unfolding. He is interested in what happens between clear actions: the pauses, transitions and subtle changes. On canvas or in murals, his compositions often show figures suspended between gestures, thoughts or spaces.
Since 2020, Ventker has developed several projects in collaboration with Portuguese artists, expanding his practice between Germany and Portugal. In 2025, he took part in the group exhibition Mar de Fora at the Praça do Mar Art Gallery in Quarteira and, in October, he will present his first solo exhibition in Faro, at IPDJ.
His figurative paintings are inspired by everyday life and convey a sense of intimacy, often presented in sequences reminiscent of film frames. In this way, he invites the public to experience moments not as fixed scenes, but as something open and in constant transformation.
Last year he took part in LAC’s artistic residency, where he developed a social housing project in Odiáxere, linking his artistic vision to the environment and the local community.
