ARTURb 2025 > Guest artist > Kiã (PT)

Carlos Stock, artistically known as Kiã, is an emerging artist on the urban art scene in Portugal. His artistic journey gained momentum during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, a time that led him to rediscover and deepen his creative passions.

Street art became his main means of expression, exploring different techniques and media – from spray cans to brushes and spatulas – and creating works on gables, walls, canvases and pavements.

His commitment and dedication quickly opened doors for him: in 2021 he received his first mural commission, a decisive moment that pushed him to dedicate himself even more to his artistic practice.

In the following years, Kiã took part in several exhibitions, including at the Sintra Arts Museum (MUSA), the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon and MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, in the exhibition “Urban Interferences”. In 2024, he took part in the Iminente Festival and the Infinito Festival in Cascais, consolidating his position on the national art scene.

His works reflect a deep interest in communities, people and their habits, exploring themes ranging from the ethnic groups of southern Angola to life in the urban centres of Lisbon.
