Patrícia Mariano (b.1988) is a Portuguese painter whose art can be found in various galleries and murals.
She is a self-taught artist with an academic background in architecture and journalism, and an eight-year career in advertising as a creative copywriter. In 2017, Patrícia decided to pursue painting professionally and, since then, her career has included multiple solo and group exhibitions, as well as various urban art interventions.
Patrícia Mariano’s body of work lies somewhere between reality and dreams, and can be described as surreal poetry in visual format. Her figurative compositions, imbued with melancholic and metaphorical images, allow her to create a unique universe and atmosphere, where the use of symbolism has become her artistic identity.
Patrícia currently lives in Lisbon, where she works full-time in her studio as an artist.
