M.E.D.O

Punk / Hardcore

Faro

Formed in 2016, at a time when hardcore in the Algarve was stagnating, M.E.D.O. quickly made a name for themselves with a strong socio-political message and an intense sound. Their debut album “Medocracia” (2018) opened the door to performances at festivals at home and abroad, alongside the likes of Dog Eat Dog and The Casualties. In 2019 they released “O Produto Somos Nós”, consolidating their name in Portugal. Even during the pandemic, they released “Monopólio da Violência” (2021), with several collaborations and a strong reception from the public, followed by the split tape “Vertigem” with the Colombian band Soy Legion.

In 2024, the Algarve band M.E.D.O. returned with the album “Medo, Sangue e Suor”, produced by Poli Correia (Devil in Me) and published by HellXis Records. Recorded at Eyeball Studios, the album features Paulo Rui (Besta/Sinistro/Avesso), Thiago ‘Monstrinho’ (Worst) and Poli himself. The singles “Renegado” and “50 Pecados Mortais” have already been released. This is the band’s fourth studio album, released at the end of the year, which also saw the release of a vinyl split with Mordaça, entitled L.V.F.S.
