DJ Sims & Cachapa are a rap and hip-hop duo from Portugal, who have already released two original albums: “2ªGaveta” (2020) and “Detalhe” (2023).

Their music is characterized either by boom-bap instrumentals and punchline rhymes, in a more oldschool style, or by instrumentals with BPM’s closer to trap and more biographical and introspective rhymes.

Vila Nova de Santo André

Rapper and Hip-Hop producer since 2016, reborn from the alter ego “Neuroze” (active since 2000), he currently lives in Vila Nova de Santo André, on the Alentejo coast.

In November 2023, he decided to bet on the music agency Ditto Music, releasing the album Déjà VU – Part 1.1, a reissue of his debut EP(Déjà VU – Part 1). All the songs and instrumentals are original and by him.

Formerly known as “Neuroze” (from 2000 to 2012), he won the UBB’11 event, in the MC category, together with Mic, and participated in the official theme of the same event. His name has appeared on posters with artists such as Microlândia, Birro, Regula, Fuse (Dealema), Kacetado, Berna, Praso, Alcool Club, Halloween, among many others.

Due to his evolution as a composer and as a person, he created the alter ego VU, which today is his A.K.A. He has already shared posters with names such as Chullage, Landim KBA, Subtil and Prazas, at various shows.

The musical composition of his works is done using the DAWs Ableton Live and Reason, and the final recording and mastering is done in Cubase.

The year 2023 was vital for the preparation and presentation of his new work, in a relaxed but determined way, facing the challenge of achieving his greatest goal:

“One day I’m going to set up my own music studio and I’ll do all my own music – musical and literary composition!”
