Synopsis
With the “Janelas Abertas” project, Cristina Camilo shows nature, portrait, and the imaginary through painting and sculpture. She thus puts into practice an old personal project that he thought about showing, but kept for a long time.
Look at life through the windows. Decides whether or not to open them. Whether you let the light in, or end up living inside them. It is either spoken or kept and locked in a locked drawer. Feel the currents of warm air, which open the ajar window in a whirlwind of swirling dust; in a breath of affections.
Biography
Cristina Camilo, an emerging artist, 1st grade and Visual and Technological Education teacher, has worked with students from 6 to 16 years old and has always been connected to the Visual Arts, with painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. She lives and teaches in Lagos. She has in the past participated in group exhibitions in Lagos and Beja. With references from Picasso, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, he influenced his students with Expressionism, Cubism, Fauvism.
