Synopsis
The Handcrafted and Natural Crayon Workshop offers a creative and educational experience where participants learn how to make their own crayons from natural materials. Throughout the workshop, the basic components of natural waxes, mineral or plant-based pigments, and the possibility of using essential oils are explored, promoting a conscious and sustainable approach to artistic creation.
The process includes mixing the ingredients, controlled heating, molding, and finishing, allowing participants to understand all stages of artisanal production. At the end, each participant takes home a set of unique, functional, and eco-friendly pencils, reinforcing the connection between creativity, nature, and resource reuse.
This workshop values learning by doing, stimulating curiosity, experimentation, and respect for natural materials.
Biography
Suzy Constantino is an art educator and visual artist from the Algarve. Creator of the suzy.constantino and Naturália brands, she runs studios and workshops that transform creativity into experience. Founder of the Páteo Marafado and Sementeiras de Vozes associations, she loves art, nature, laughter, and sharing moments that inspire and spark the imagination.
