Biography
Pedro Podre (1988) is a painter and illustrator from Porto.
His figurative paintings explore narratives about childhood, escapism, identity and 21st century anxieties. Using the narrative logic of illustrations and the aesthetics of comics and animation, his work presents tragic-comic allegories about suburban life, fears and uncertainties in an age of information overload.
Pedro Podre took part in the 11th edition of ARTURb – Artistas Unidos em Residência.
