ROOTS 2024 - "Roots and Post-Memory''
This edition includes artist residencies and an exhibition, curated by A. Pedro Correia, as well as a parallel program, open to the public, which includes debates and conferences in partnership with the Lagos Museum, a film cycle curated by Patrícia Leal and guided tours of the exhibition by LAC’s educational service. In April and May 2025, the exhibition will travel to Caldas da Rainha and Guimarães, in partnership with the Centro de Artes and CAAA – Centro para os Assuntos de Arte e Arquitectura respectively, accompanied by mediation activities.
The artistic residency will take place at LAC’s facilities and aims to explore the multiple layers of cultural and ancestral memory, encouraging artistic creation that reflects on collective and personal legacies.
