Curated by Francisco Vidal and Patrícia Leal, the ROOTS 2025 program brings together four artists from different backgrounds, each exploring the theme of roots in dialogue with the diaspora and ancestral memory.

Through artistic residencies and exhibitions, ROOTS 2025 aims to create new meanings about the past and present of African diasporas, fostering the reconciliation of memories and the encounter between cultures. This curatorship highlights the importance of “roots” as a starting point for a contemporary dialogue about belonging, displacement, and identity construction.
