Synopsis
This workshop intends, in an experimental way, to explore the possibilities of sound. 0 In the first phase, several materials for sound production and manipulation will be introduced. Afterwards, the participants will be asked to experiment creatively with the materials provided and to define a varied set of sound possibilities. To conclude, an experimental sound performance will be prepared that will culminate with a public presentation.
Biography
Nuno Murta is Master in Communication, Culture and Arts. As a musician he has recorded several albums and participated in soundtracks for documentaries and films. In the theater area, he works as a sound designer, musician, and sound technician. In the area of sound exploration he developed the project “Cañon Club”, coordinated the project “Orquestra Lixo” and currently, as resident artist at LAC, develops the project “Pedra Parva” and gives training, in the area of sound, in the project ARTLAB. He has recently started a collaboration with Museu 0, where he is developing a sound object for an exhibition curated by Luís Fernandes and providing training, in the area of sound, in the project “Grande Enciclopédia dos Sons Determinados”.
